There was a Red Cross blood drive on campus today, so I signed up for an appointment. After much preliminary paperwork, I was ushered onto the van and into a little cubicle where a nice lady asked some more questions.
"Last name?"
"Gray. G-R-A-Y."
"First name?"
"Rachel."
"Date of birth?"
"June 7, 1978."
"You registered as female; is that correct?"
??!!!

Unfortunately, you'd be surprised. I worked with a fellow for several years before I figured out he was a "he". What a mess.
