To explain-- these men are all wearing cassocks and birettas like Catholic priests used to wear fifty years ago. Anyone dressed like that today is probably a very traditional priest. Which I highly approve of, but it probably doesn't mesh with whatever Broadway Church defines as "progressive Christians", and I'm sure that's why they decided to take their picture with the sign.
A Fraternity priest said nobody looks good in a birreta and it is an act of humility to put it on. I agree. Some cut the pom-pom off, which helps a little.
Father, could this picture perhaps disprove your thesis that no one looks good in a biretta? http://photos1.blogger.com/img/7/1435/640/764890_k13.jpg :)
Is that one a woman, or just a really fat man with boobs?
ReplyDeleteIt's a man! Poor guy...

ReplyDeleteBroadway Church should probably concentrate on finding their missing "R" first...

Eanah, I never even noticed that!
Yes, Rachel. You are right, again and again!
ReplyDeleteHey I think they look stylin' in those birettas.
ReplyDeleteRock on, all you cool traditional priests.
